…the Spirit are wrapped up in Him, and He is in us, so we have it all. But if we’re focused on what we don’t have rather than accessing by faith what we do have, then they remain hidden within us, untapped and unused.
1 Corinthians 3:20-21 says, “…The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.” 21 Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours”
Our life is a manifestation of our thought life. We get what we think. What are we thinking…lack or abundance; life or death?
Jesus not only promises us eternal life here and now, but He also promises to keep us from perishing. The word “perish” in John 10:28 in the Greek means: to destroy fully, die, lose.
We’re so busy running from loss and from death that we don’t slow down long enough to simply take hold of the gifts that are already available to us. They’re all in Him. They are in the Bible.
We Already Have It!
We pray for all of the things we want and need, but we don’t even know that He has already given them to us. All we have to do is simply receive them with thanksgiving, then stand firm in that place of blessing with the confidence of Jesus Christ until we see them show up.
The devil tries to hide the truth from us, that we already have the victory over him in Jesus Christ. And if we do discover the truth, He tries to convince us these blessings don’t belong to us. The last part of John 10:28 says, “neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.”
That’s exactly what the devil tries to do with the blessings Christ died to give us. He tries to snatch them out of our hands. He came to steal, kill and destroy, but Christ came that we might have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10).
Nobody and nothing can snatch us out of His hand. Jesus and the Father are one, and as believers, we belong to Him. Stand firm in that truth and in that place of blessing.
