John14:2Pg2
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

…in John 14:2 In my Father’s house are many mansions. When they witnessed the horrific scene of His scourging and crucifixion, do you think they were remembering the many mansions He spoke of? Probably not.
We must remember that Christ spoke of spiritual things, not always literal things.
He spoke to the Disciples about where their future was. By their faith–their belief in Father God and in Him–they could enter into a spiritual kingdom, a mansion in the Father’s house.
On the Day of Pentecost, they indeed entered into that spiritual mansion Jesus spoke of when the Holy Spirit descended upon them and they were filled with power from On High. (Acts 2:1-4)
Heaven is a Spiritual Place
When Jesus Christ conquered death, He went forward to prepare a place for each of us—a spiritual place in the Kingdom of Heaven that we can occupy even while we live on earth. We too, can enter into the Kingdom of God, the mansion Jesus prepared for us…by faith here and now.
Romans 5:1-2 says, “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”
John the Baptist spoke of Jesus when He said in Mark 1:8, “I indeed baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”
This amazing gift is available to us. If we are Christians, we already have the Spirit of God living inside us, but if that heavenly resource is untapped what good is it doing us?
Look again at John 14:2
In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Jesus didn’t endure all of that suffering and horribly violent crucifixion so we could go through life powerless…No! He gave each of us the incredible opportunity to live in the power of God, in the mansions of God.
We must STIR UP OUR FAITH to move in and occupy the wonderful place in the Kingdom He has prepared for us.
Our Spiritual Mansion
What have we been doing? How have we been using our time? To build our faith so we can take hold of our heavenly purpose, or are we too busy building earthly mansions?
Let’s rise up! Rise up in faith and take hold of what He paid such a heavy price to give us. That spiritual mansion is a heavenly peace, comfort, satisfaction and contentment that nothing and nobody in this world could ever give us. It is:
- a bright and happy outlook in a sea of negativity.
- a compassionate and loving heart amid callousness and cruelty.
- faith so strong that nothing can move us off the solid rock.
- a merciful heart turning away from criticism.
- liberating freedom from the chains of bondage.
- fresh and new, leaving the old and musty behind forever.
- adorning clean and bright apparel and throwing away the filthy rags.
- peaceful harmony with those around us.
- being rooted so deeply in the truth that no lie can sway us.
- looking at our neighbor with an understanding heart, not a judgmental one.
- standing our ground in the confidence of Christ instead of being blown around in the wind of insecurities.
- an invigorating youth and vitality in the work we are called to do.
