On God rests my salvation and my glory
Daily Prayer
Father God, thank You for Your amazing love. You gave Your Son, Jesus Christ, so that we might be saved. We rejoice in Your saving grace, and together we bless Your Name. Father, we direct the glory of our sufferings to the cross, where they belong. Help us not to glory in our trials, but to give them to You. Free us from the insatiable need of winning, of outdoing one another and the vanity of worldly success. Those things are all wrapped up in the pride of our flesh, and we give it up to You. As we release our fleshly desires, grant us success in Your righteousness. Our glory rests in You, just as our salvation does.
Nothing in this world will satisfy the empty longing in our souls except more of You. Thank You for healing our hearts and our desires. May we long for more of You. Deliver us from the quicksand of deception. We already have everything we need in Christ Jesus, for He lives within us. The victory is already ours in Christ. We believe You. We love You and we worship You and You alone. In Jesus’ Holy Name. Amen.
