Jesus is Coming

He Wears Our Pain and He's Coming Again

Jesus Wears Our Pain

Jesus,

He wears our pain like a mask,

shielding us from the pain of our past.

Looking up to the sky,

where Father God in Heaven is nigh.

Gingerly He leads us on paths of right,

where neither pain nor scar can break the light.

Gently He leads us to Heaven above,

to God’s right hand where He sits enthroned.

Lord of light; He’s calling my name,

Softly He whispers He’s coming again.

Jesus, we need You here by our side,

where Heaven above is coming tonight.

Forcefully  He enters bronze gates from afar,

Where glory bursts into the waiting door.

He steps inside with His feet of bronze,

and takes up His children with waiting arms.

Glory above has come at last,

to God’s own children both near and far.

Jesus Is Coming

Into the gates, our Rider appears

with inscriptions of Heaven written on His side.

We remember the cross how You took our sin,

and turned it outward to never again

be shamed and defeated by Satan’s schemes.

You take us up in our Rider’s embrace

to sit behind while You face again

the pale rider who deceived and gained

the whole world, but with one last strike

Heaven’s entry is ours again.

Be defeated no longer, child. Heaven is here.

Jesus saved you, now come near.

Hear His call and rescue plea,

Be still and listen, now. He’ll come again.

Open arms and heart, my  Savior calls,

Child, look for Him. He is here.

Heaven has gained a whole world, fullness dwells,

Jesus Christ is the One Who saved us all.

Amen.
