It is the Lord your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him.

Thank You Father, for your great mercy toward us. We are so grateful that Your mercy is greater than Your judgment. Thank You for forgiving us for our addictions and lusts, for following after other gods for so long.

What we didn’t even realize was a god to us, Your mercy issues a healing salve to coat and heal the dry and empty places in our lives that we used false gods to fill. You are the only medicine we need. You are the Great Physician.

You know what ails us and why, and You come to us mercifully in the power of the Holy Spirit to replace fake with genuine, to replace dry with nourished, dull with brightness, and empty with fully satisfied. Thank You for gently removing our false gods and filling all the holes with You, the Great Remedy.

You separate us from unrighteousness and bring back together in righteousness, so we can be whole, like Jesus Christ. Thank You for making us more like Christ so You can draw nearer to us, and so that we can know and believe, and understand that You are God. Amen.
