You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.

Thank You, Lord, that You wait for us to draw near to You. As we slowly discover parched dryness in our souls from the pursuit of false gods, You long for us. You patiently wait for us until we finally learn that the only God worth pursuing is You, the God of heaven and earth, our Creator. When we finally bow down to You, forsaking false gods, You nourish our weary souls with Life, Love and rest. Finally, the longing heart of the Father is satisfied as we are gathered up into Your waiting, everlasting arms. Your heart is nourished when ours is.

Thank You for waiting for us. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for making the way back to our Father’s heart. Thank You for the cross. Thank You for the courage and strength You displayed when You went forward unafraid. May the glory of your boldness rise up in each of Your children, so that there is no refuting the revelation of Jesus Christ. All glory in heaven and earth belongs to You. We praise You, Lord. Amen and amen.
