Daily Prayer – Romans 4:20-21
He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.
Daily Prayer
Father, forgive us for our small faith, for falling victim to the devil’s lies when You gave your Son to give us abundant life. The devil has convinced us at times (by feelings like loneliness or shortage of money) that we don’t have something we need.
Help us to choose to believe You when our thoughts, feelings and circumstances tempt us to go astray and follow false gods. You alone are our provider, not a person nor any amount of money.
We repent and invite You into all the places where we have depended on a person, money or something else to provide for us. We choose to trust You instead of our feelings and circumstances, no matter how loud and convincing they are.
Our shield of faith will be effective against the enemy when we believe the truth. Help us, Lord. We want you to be Lord of our life and nothing else. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
