Daily Prayer – Matthew 6:19-21
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Daily Prayer
Oh Lord, please forgive us for our selfish ambitions, holding onto our time and money as though it were ours. It all belongs to You, Lord. We recognize that everything we enjoy is a gift from You. It is only by Your mercies that are new every morning that we are not consumed. Thank You for Your great patience with us, for remembering that we are dust. Help us Lord, to recognize the greatness of Your power and Your Presence within us so that we can be led in righteousness for Your Great Name’s sake (Psalm 23:3). Help us to humbly accept that which You died to give us. Please continue to remember us according to Your tender mercies and lovingkindness. Blessed be Your Name forever and ever. Amen!
