Daily Prayer
Dear Lord, grant us mercy we pray as the dark comes to light and wickedness is exposed–in ourselves, in others and in our nation. We are all sinners, and we repent, Lord. Forgive us for our prideful flesh, for striving and competing with others for superiority.
We come before You and humble ourselves under Your mighty hand. We cast all our anxieties upon You for You care for us. We receive the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ and lay down our works and our trophies at Your feet. Lord, we believe that we are complete in Christ and therefore we do not lack.
We choose to be content with who we are in You, and so because we are content there is no need to strive for anything beyond who You made us to be. In that way we are covered under the protective hand of your righteousness. We take joy in Your ways and in Your righteousness, where there is peace. Thank You, Lord Jesus! Amen.
