Daily Prayer – 1 Corinthians 1:31
“He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.”
Daily Prayer
Father God, we come to You in light of the tragedies that are in the world and ask that You help us appeal to You as Jehovah Tsidkenu (The Lord My Righteousness). We don’t understand and are dismayed at the wars that rage around us, both in the spiritual and in the physical. Forgive the attitudes of our hearts as we question Your methods and Your Great Plan. We wonder how and why You allow such things to come to pass, knowing that Jesus Christ accomplished victory for us upon the cross.
And yet Lord, we come to You and surrender our questioning and doubtful hearts. Though we have experienced the sweet fellowship of Your loving kindness and long for it again, we surrender to the righteousness of Your plan and Your authority as King of kings and Lord of lords. We choose to seek Your righteousness; not the feelings we enjoyed with You in the past. You are found in the painful and in the pleasure, and we humble ourselves before Your throne. Nourish our spirit so we can grow up in Your righteousness, Jehovah Tsidkenu. Thank You, Father. Amen.
