Unlocking the Truth – Peace or Pain?

We leave so much on the table because of our ignorance (or disregard) of God’s Word. We choose whether or not to participate with Him, by listening to what He has to say. The riches and wisdom of God are all in His Word, the Bible.

We can be rich in Him, particularly when we begin to discover the intangible riches of His Kingdom by following Him faithfully.

It is God who works in us, both to will and to work for His good pleasure. (Philippians 2:13)

No matter whether we make the right decision or a fleshly one, God uses it all. He uses our mistakes to teach us. We don’t have to grapple and grieve over our past mistakes and failures. The Lord Jesus is our Redeemer.

If you struggle with pain you may have caused someone, give the weight of that regret to Him. He was taking care of that person (or pet) all along. We don’t have to carry that responsibility any longer.

He uses everything for our good (Romans 8:28). We mustn’t wallow in the past of “what I should have done” or “shouldn’t have done”. He paid for all of our mistakes on the cross. We weren’t meant to bear the burden of that pain.

Tune In

He yearns to grant us peace where the pain of regret lingers. His peace is there, but we must let Christ rule, and not our pain. We must let Christ rule, and not the enemy’s voice of condemnation and accusation.

It might be very faint, like an echo from a distant land, but we must tune into the peace of Christ. As we train our minds to Christ’s, then the voices of the pain and past subside and our peace flourishes.

This is how we overcome.

Jesus taught us this in John 16:33, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

Jesus said in Revelation 2:7, “…To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.”

We overcome the voices of regret and despair by tuning into the words of Jesus Christ in our mind. We must let the supernatural Word of God rule in our heart. The way to the wealth and riches of the Kingdom of God is through Jesus Christ. He is the way to that abundant life—the tree of life.

Won’t you partake of the tree of life, and overcome the world? Study the Bible verse of Colossians 3:15, let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, and discover the wealth of the Kingdom.
