Lord, we mourn for our brothers and sisters who are suffering. In sickness and in tragedy, we weep with those who weep. And Lord, we also rejoice with those who rejoice, as Your Word says. (Romans 12:15) Your Presence goes with us, through tragedy and through pain, through victory and prosperity. You are sovereign over it all. You promised to never leave us or forsake us. We thank You for Your friendship, and that You are faithful through it all. Your ways are mysterious to us, but You always have our good in mind (Romans 8:28). You are trustworthy, and the cross is evidence.
Thank You for Your Great Plan—the one that promises us an eternity with You in Heaven because of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help us to grow in faith in Christ, so that we can live closer to You–in victory–no matter what our circumstances are. We surrender to more of You, Lord, and less of us. We praise You for Your faithfulness. We praise You for Your mercy, and we praise You for Your Word. Blessed be Your Name forever! In Christ’s Name we pray. Amen.
