We see the rewards of God as we begin to follow Christ and study His Word. Then as our trust in the Lord increases, the level of our rewards also increase. The rewards get bigger and more abundant, and they spill out onto those around us.

Let’s look at the specific reward in Psalm 125:1.

Those who trust in the Lord Are as Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but abides forever.

The word “moved” in Hebrew means: waver, slip, shake, fall, be fallen in decay. “Abide” means: to dwell, to remain, to settle, to marry.

As the church body and bride of Christ, our ultimate goal is to be re-united with Christ in that holy matrimony that God designed from the beginning. Revelation 19:7 says, “Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.”

As we grow in our trust of the Lord, we are making ourselves ready. He cannot resist those who trust Him with their whole heart, much like King David did. Those who sacrifice the false gods of the world and take hold of His hand are beautiful in His sight. This is the beauty that attracts an eager Lover—the Lover of our souls.

There is no safer place to be in these end times than fully trusting Jesus Christ. No matter what kind of turmoil is going on around us, we can safely abide in the arms of Jesus Christ.

Psalm 46:1-3 God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change And though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; Though its waters roar and foam, Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride. Selah.

Our spiritual muscle of trust grows stronger every time we turn to Him first instead of something or someone else. We can be at peace in the noise and chaos going on around us—in Christ. When others are panicking or complaining, we can be at rest—in Christ.

Then we become the sounding board of the beautiful harmony of peace and joy that others notice. That’s when the Lord is glorified in our lives—when someone else sees Him in us, and they are attracted to the beauty of peaceful harmony they see in us.

What an amazing opportunity and an amazing privilege to carry the glory of the Lord within us. That’s when we are using our full potential—the potential that has been in us all along.

The potential to fully believe.

The potential to fully trust, no matter what.

The potential to listen to the Lord and not the noise.

The potential to turn away from wickedness and TOWARD righteousness.

The potential to reflect the brightness of the glory of the Lord, which attracts others to Jesus Christ.

Study Psalm 125:1, trust Jesus Christ and be safe and secure in the Lord.
