Father, please forgive us for the desires of selfish gain hidden in our hearts, our tendency to put our own welfare and livelihood over the needs of others. May we reach past our human nature for the Divine Nature. May the tragedies we see all around us cause Christ to rise up within us so we can love others as You have loved us, Lord. Transform our selfishness into selflessness as we follow You. May it be the beauty and freedom of the love of God that we wear, and not our own filthy rags of pride. Love is pure, holy and redeeming. We thank You for Your mercy, for we are all in need of it. Blessed be Your Name, Lord Jesus.   Amen and amen.
