Daily Prayer – Zephaniah 3:14-15

Sing aloud, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel! Rejoice and exult with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem! 15 The Lord has taken away the judgments against you; he has cleared away your enemies. The King of Israel, the Lord, is in your midst; you shall never again fear evil.

Prayer

Father, You ask of us to love you with all our hearts, souls and minds and some days it’s all we can do to put one foot in front of the other. Our past haunts us and yet we have to sometimes take a step back to move forward and take hold of the territory You say is ours. It sometimes has a high cost, but we know that in the end we are victorious in Jesus Christ here, now and forever more.

There is ultimately great joy, peace and satisfaction in obedience to you. In Christ Jesus we pray, amen.
