Daily Prayer – Psalm 5:11-12

But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You. 12 For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield.

Prayer

Lord, help us to trust in You and not ourselves. We can do nothing without You, and yet we strive for youth and beauty, social and professional status by our own means and intellect, and the financial security of the world. Give us wisdom to surrender our own efforts and allow You entry into our personal world. May your power and glory take over as we bow before You in praise, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
