Daily Prayer – Matthew 6:13

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for a new perspective of righteousness, specifically humility toward the authority You have ordained for us. And yet even in the newfound freedom of righteousness, there is a subtle distraction of pride and vainglory. We don’t recognize it right away because it feels good to our flesh and we seek after pleasure.

Help us to remember that your righteousness is clean and beautiful without the sensuality. Keep us grounded in You, Father. We need you and we need your help in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
