Unlocking the Truth – Fight Fear with Faith
2 Corinthians 9:10-11 says, “10 Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness;11 you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to God.”
He promises to supply the seed for you to sow, which increases the harvest of your righteousness! Not only will your faith and obedience be a blessing to the person in need, but you will be enriched, which produces thanksgiving to God.
So these are His promises from the Bible, no matter what your bank account balance looks like. The question is: do you believe it? Do you believe Him?
Are you going to walk by sight and let fear defeat you, or will you believe God and live by faith?
I have been walking closely with God for a long time, and I still wrestle with faith in my finances. But, no matter how difficult it has been to give in faith, He always provides the seed and more.
Focus our Faith
When David faced Goliath, he had a choice to either focus on Goliath’s size and let fear defeat him, or remember God’s faithfulness and stand up in faith to overcome the fear. David, who was small in stature and inexperienced as a soldier, moved forward and faced the giant, a skilled warrior, by faith in God alone.
The facts and evidence were very convincing on the surface. There was no practical way a youth could defeat a giant, but God was on his side. David didn’t see God with his eyes, but he knew God was with him. He remembered His faithfulness.
Look what David’s faith accomplished. He defeated the giant, helped win a war and later became king!
Yes, God wants to bless the person in need He asked us to help, but He also wants to reward our faith and bless us. He wants us to live in freedom from fear, so we can be joyful.
Don’t look at your bank account; just step out in faith and submit to the Father. There is an exhilarating freedom in our submission to God’s loving ways. When we move forward in faith, we conquer fear. God rewards faith (Hebrews 11:6). Study 2 Corinthians 5:7 to overcome fear and live in confident victory.
