Bible Commentary
Exodus 14:14 is a Bible verse where Moses reassures the people of Israel about the strong arm of the Lord during their flight from the Egyptian army. These are amazing words from one of the most miraculous events in history.
The people of Israel had just fled Egypt. God had used Moses to deliver His people from the bondage of Pharaoh in the land of Egypt where they were slaves. You might remember the plagues the Lord used to reveal to the Egyptians exactly Who He was, by delivering His chosen people from their hands.
However, after the Israelites departed with the spoils of gold and silver of Egypt, Pharaoh changed his mind about letting them go, and he and his officials pursued them with the intent to destroy them.
Exodus 14:10 As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up, and there were the Egyptians, marching after them. They were terrified and cried out to the Lord.
