Plan of Salvation

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

The Bible says we have all sinned and come short of the glory of God. Because of this, we are in need of salvation from the wrath of God and eternal punishment in Hell.

Romans 3:10 – As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

We must all realize that we are sinners.

Romans 3:23 – For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Sin entered into the world through Adam and all men since then are sinners.

Romans 5:12 – Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Because we are sinners we deserve eternal death, but Christ died on the Cross for our sins, was buried in a grave and rose again on the third day. Because Jesus overcame death we can be saved. It is a free gift to us because of God’s love for us.

Isaiah 49:16 – See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.

See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands: Isaiah is foretelling the crucifixion of Jesus. When we see the nail-scarred hands of Jesus, we see how our sins were nailed to the cross with Him. Your walls are continually before Me: The walls refer to the walls of the city of Jerusalem, which figuratively speaks of the health, the strength, the prosperity, and the security of God’s people. God always knows our condition: spiritually, mentally, spiritually, relationally and financially….every area of our life.

Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

If we believe in our heart God has raised Christ from the dead and we are willing to confess Him with our mouth then He will save us from what we deserve and give us His reward, which is salvation and eternal life with Him in Heaven.

Romans 10:9-10 – That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Romans 10:13 – For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

If you realize that you are a sinner who has never accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then lift your heart to God in prayer.

Oh, LORD, I know I am a sinner. I believe Jesus was my substitute when He died on the Cross. I believe His shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection were for me. I now receive Him as my Savior. I thank You for the forgiveness of my sins, the gift of salvation and everlasting life, because of Your merciful grace. Amen.

Just take God at His word and claim His salvation by faith. Believe, and you will be saved.

You may be asking “Is it really that simple?” Yes, it is! Believe on Jesus and receive Him as Savior today.

After you are saved, there are three things to practice daily for spiritual growth:

  1. Pray – that’s you just talking to God.
  2. Read your Bible – this is one of the ways God talks to you.
  3. Witness – tell others about God’s love.
You should also get baptized, which is simply a public testimony of your salvation. Then find a Bible-believing church to attend and continue your spiritual growth. If you have questions, please contact us athttps://www.facebook.com/MercyQuotes/
