Father, thank You, that You are a safe hiding place for us. When the world is a terrifying place, when the waves are crashing in around us, when we don’t know what to do—we run to You, Lord. We run to You. We take cover in the high tower of the Name of Jesus Christ—the One Who died for us, the One Who came to save us, the One You sent because You love us. You alone are our strength—nothing and no one else can save us. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life. He can be found in Your Holy Word, the Bible. Thank You for the supernatural power of Your Words. By them, we are saved and by them we are healed. We trust You to take care of us, and Your Word leads the way—day by day, one step at a time. Thank You for trusting us with Your Word—for helping us share it with the world, which is Your perfect plan for each one of us (Matthew 28:19-20). Thank You for revealing the beauty of Your light through all of us by the individual gifts You’ve given us, unique to every one. What an amazing God You are! We bless You and thank You for Your perfect provision. We ask that You multiply Your reach out into the world, by the mercies of Your heart. Draw us with Your tender lovingkindness and the beauty of Your righteousness, and by the radiant glow of Your Holy Spirit living and breathing within us. Draw us into You by the good pleasure of Your heart, by the brightness of Your hope which is Jesus Christ, our Lord. We thank You for it in Jesus’ Name. Amen and amen.
The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. Psalm 18:2 KJV
