Daily Prayer – Matthew 5:4

Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted.

Prayer

Lord, help us to stand fast in faith when we don’t have something we desperately want. It is a lie. You said we shall not want. In Christ Jesus is everything we need–an intimate companion, the riches of the kingdom, strength, comfort and peace–all are found in you when we seek you with our whole heart.

Help us not to fall victim to our feelings but instead stand fast in the truth. We will soon be relieved from the air of desperation and pain of the darkness. Hallelujah! In Jesus’ Name, amen.
