Psalm 72:7 (KJV)

In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.

Bible Commentary

Psalm 72:7 is a Bible verse where King David is declaring the prosperity of the righteous in the earth in the days of the Lord.

Isn’t that what we all want, for right to be rewarded and for evil to be kicked out? That’s precisely what the Lord is doing as He returns to earth and prepares to reign. We must be aware that evil lurks in places within us that we don’t see and like a heart surgeon, He meticulously and ever-so-carefully brings to the surface those things within us that need to be surrendered to Him.

Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

We can only surrender as we become aware. As we seek Jesus, He reveals the truth for that’s Who He is.

1 John 3:2

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

To be discipled by Him is to seek the truth, surrender, repent, be healed and keep going in His strength, power and righteousness.

Kingdom Wealth

The Lord wants us to love Him more than wealth. As we seek His face (not just His hand), He will be revealed in His provision for us. He is not separate from his provision. We separate ourselves from Him with the world’s treasures.

In seeking to provide for ourselves, we attach our own honor to it which blocks the intimacy of the Lord. As He unplugs our heart bit by bit from the world, we have the opportunity to receive more of Him and His righteousness.

The more of the world we give up, the more of Him and His kingdom we can receive. It is a deliberate choice to make room for Him. He fills us like nothing in the world can.

The world’s riches are dead. The riches of the Lord are living and active, just like His Word. How can we know? We’ll see Him in it.

God made us to fit perfectly in Him, and not the world. True freedom and prosperity are only in Him, not apart from Him.

Study Psalm 72:7 to see the Lord working righteousness into the health and wealth of your house.
